Per il terzo anno, l’Alma Mater partecipa all’iniziativa “3MT – Three Minute Thesis Competition” lanciata dal Coimbra Group, un network internazionale di cui l’Ateneo fa parte. Scadenza: 9 gennaio 2020
La Competition propone una sfida agli studenti di dottorato: spiegare in inglese la propria ricerca a un "pubblico laico intelligente", quindi a un target di non addetti ai lavori.
Per farlo avete 3 minuti di tempo e 1 slide statica che verrà proiettata durante il vostro speech.
Tra le candidature prevenute entro il 9 gennaio, verranno selezionati 14 studenti di dottorato che saranno invitati a presentare la propria ricerca il 20 febbraio, durante l’evento 3MT – Three Minute Thesis Competition – Unibo Edition. Gli interventi verranno video registrati e resi disponibili sul canale Youtube dell’Università.
Una giuria e il pubblico in sala voteranno i 3 migliori candidati, per i quali è previsto un premio.
Il vincitore parteciperà inoltre alla conferenza annuale del Coimbra Group per sfidare dal vivo i colleghi delle altre università europee.

3MT – Three Minute Thesis Competition: a challenge to PhD students
For the third year, the Alma Mater participates in the "3MT – Three Minute Thesis Competition", an initiative launched by the Coimbra Group, an international network of which the University is a member. Deadline: 9 January, 2020
The Competition proposes a challenge to PhD students: to explain their research in English to an ‘intelligent lay audience’, therefore to a target of non-experts.
To do this you will have 3 minutes of time and 1 static slide to be projected during your speech.
Among the applications prevented by January 9, 14 PhD students will be selected and invited to present their research at the 3MT – Three Minute Thesis Competition – Unibo Edition event on February 20. The speeches will be recorded and made available on the University's Youtube channel.
A jury and the audience in the hall will vote for the 3 best candidates, which will be awarded with a prize.
The winner will also participate in the annual conference of the Coimbra Group to challenge live the colleagues from other European universities.
